Fireside Casts is a passionate, player-based organization that held Team Fortress 2's first tournament in almost 2 decades. I was contracted to help with their stream's UI / HUD design with the quick timeline of a month.

Challenge

The UI used before was dated and looked complicated to people who weren't already knowledgeable of TF2's gameplay.

Solution

I made multiple editable templates that were handed off to the Fireside Casts team's developer. Taking from popular gaming tourneys, the design enhanced the viewing experience and had easily recognizable iconography. For longevity, I created a brand design document for their team to easily reference.

  • This UI was built for Physgun Denver, but also is used for their normal streams on Twitch

  • The tournament was covered by PCGamer, which can be found here.
