Carpet is Cool

One of my major projects as a Graphic Design Intern at Shaw Industries was developing an identity with Michelle Nelson, my Art Director and Designer, that could celebrate the company's main product. We took the concept of "old school cool" to reenergize the hype for carpet. We took inspiration from 70s fashion and culture, imbuing positivity and fun visuals not typically seen at a trade show.

Over 3-4 months, the identity was used to create two versions of a trade show booth built at 5 Shaw markets, animations, videos, and additional printed and physical material for parties, events, and in-store merchandise promotions. By early 2024, the Carpet is Cool campaign became an evergreen, long-lasting addition to Shaw Industries' ever-evolving collection of assets.
